The Photography Show presents special exhibitions of private collections. The 2018 special exhibitions included an exhibition from the collection of Joe Baio, a collection from Photographic Center Northwest, and a special exhibition of work curated by Sir Elton John.
Exhibitor events including artist book signings are free with a valid Show admission ticket and are open to the public.
Celebrating the contribution of the photobook to the evolving story of photography, Aperture presents a daily, in-person spotlight on individual books and publishers as part of AIPAD’S publisher’s area.
AIPAD Screening Room
Curated by award-winning filmmaker Mary Engel (Director of Orkin/Engel Film and Photo Archive and Founder and President of APAG), the AIPAD Screening Room featured photographer documentaries submitted by exhibiting galleries. Explore the films that were presented at the Show in 2018.
The AIPAD Award was established in 2017 to honor and recognize visionaries who have spent their lives at the forefront of the field of photography. The 2018 honoree was Keith F. Davis, Senior Curator of Photography, The Nelson-Atkins Museum of Art.
